Mike Itkis is contesting in 12 New York districts, where he is making a tall bid to oust longtime Democrat Representative Jerrold Nadler, who won the June primary over Carolyn Maloney in her stronghold of NYC. Itkis is an independent candidate. Sex positivity is one of his major election issues, and he supports the legalization of sex work.

Itkis has invented a unique and surprising way to prove that he is not just talking, but serious about implementing the above issues, and this is not a TV interview. The independent candidate has released a sex tape he shot with the adult film star, hoping to garner his support and get his name included in the list of potential winners in the election race. Mike Itkiss is a cyber security expert and has been a Major in the US Army Reserves. In an interview with City and State, he described his video posted on the pornographic website as a “conversation piece”.

Mike said in the interview, ‘If I only talked about it (sex positivity and sex work legalization), it did not show my commitment to this issue. And the fact is, it was actually a huge learning experience for me (to shoot a sex tape with an adult film star), and it has really affected my election campaign. On his campaign website, Mike Itkis describes himself as a ‘liberal independent candidate’ who is ‘not married. He doesn’t have any children. But he is also not a brahmachari and is an atheist.

Apart from cyber security, sex positivity seems to be one of his top issues, which he addresses on his website. However, he does not elaborate on some of his promises. Describing Itkis as the people’s favorite candidate, his campaign website says he wants to ‘redefine the abortion debate as the right to have unplanned sex.’ It is also one of the 8 bullet points on the subject that ‘men should not be required to support biological children without prior consent.’
