San Francisco, Four charges have been filed against a man involved in the kidnapping and murder of an Indian-origin Sikh family in the US, including an eight-month-old girl. Officials in California gave this information. The accused Jesus Salgado used to work in a truck company of this family many years ago. The accused had kidnapped and killed four people, including eight-month-old Aruhi Dheri, her mother, 27-year-old Jasleen Kaur, her father, 36-year-old Jasdeep Singh, Jasdeep’s brother, 39-year-old Amandeep Singh, of a Sikh family.

The Merced County District Attorney’s office said in a news release that it would not yet decide whether to request the death penalty in the 48-year-old’s case. District Attorney Kimberly Lewis declined to comment on the case beyond the charges.

Significantly, the investigation into the disappearance of the Sikh family began on October 3 when the police saw Amandeep’s truck burning in Vinton town. When family members could not locate Amandeep or his brother and sister-in-law or the couple’s child, they reported the family as missing. During the investigation of the video, a video of the suspect was seen kidnapping the family at gunpoint and taking them to the truck.

Meanwhile, bereaved relatives of four Indian-origin Sikhs have raised over $300,000 to help their families in California and their elderly parents living in India. Amandeep’s wife Jaspreet Kaur said during the fundraising campaign that her husband and Jasdeep were in the US for 18 years and supported not only their families in California but also their elderly parents in India.
