India will host a special meeting of the Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC) of the United Nations Security Council for the first time. The meeting will discuss the topic of ‘Combating the use of new and emerging technologies for the purpose of terrorism’.

The US delegation, led by senior US diplomat Chris Lu, will visit India and participate in the conferences to be held in Mumbai and New Delhi from October 28-29. Ahead of this important summit, the US Representative for UN Management and Reform Lu tweeted, “Looking forward to participating in this important UN counter-terrorism conference and representing the US to strengthen the relationship between the US and India.” Am.’

He said that on October 28, tributes will be paid to the victims of 26/11 terror attack at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. During this, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be present. It will include 15 members of the United Nations Security Council and other representatives.
