Washington. Former US President Donald Trump has promised that he will take America’s relations with India to the next level again if he wins the presidential election in 2024. Speaking at a Diwali event organized by the Republican Hindu Alliance (RHC) at their Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, he said he and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi share a deep friendship. About 200 Indian-Americans attended the event.
According to PTI, if he is elected as the US President in 2024, he will nominate RHC founder Shalabh Kumar as his ambassador to India. The video of Trump’s speech at the Diwali event last Friday was released by the RHC on Tuesday. In this, the former president says that he has not yet announced whether he will join the presidential race in 2024. But if he contests for this position and wins in 2024, then he will fulfill his commitments to the Indian American community.
Trump said that we got the support of the Hindu population in both the times (2016 and 2020). Along with this, we got full support from India and also from the people of India. He said that I fully supported the idea of building a Hindu Holocaust memorial in (Washington) DC. I think it’s time… we’re going to get it done. Trump said that he might not win in 2016, but the Hindu community gave him full support in the election field. He resolved that if he wins the presidential election in 2024, he will take America’s relationship with India to the next level again.

RHC founder Shalabh Kumar said Trump has been a strong friend of the Hindu community and RHC is proud of the achievements it has made over the years to empower and encourage the community in America. He said that Diwali is a time for all of us to reflect on the victory of light over darkness and look forward to a new year of prosperity and peace.
