The storm has caused the most devastation in Buffalo, New York. The operation of the emergency response department to reach out to the people has also been disrupted. The city’s international airport has also been closed due to the thick layer of snow. Officials in the US have cited the cause of death as being hit by the storm, car accident, falling trees and other effects of the storm. At least three people died in the Buffalo area. New York Governor Cathy Hochul said that due to the storm, the operation of emergency services in Buffalo has also come to a standstill. Buffalo Niagara International Airport will be closed Monday and every fire truck in Buffalo is stuck in the snow.

There was 43 inches of snow at the airport at 7 am on Sunday. There is also a delay in reaching the ambulance. Erie County Officer Mark Polonkarz told that it is taking more than three hours for the ambulance to reach the hospital. The emergency service personnel could not take him to the hospital on time. There are difficulties in restoring power supply in the storm-affected areas. According to ‘Poweroutages.us’, power supply to three lakh homes is disrupted till eight o’clock on Sunday morning.

Power supply is stalled in 6600 homes in North Carolina. Electricity department officials said that the supply may remain affected for the next few days. Two people died in Cheektowaga, New York. In Ohio, 10 people died in various incidents related to the storm. About 50 vehicles collided at one place on the road in Ohio. At the same time, seven people died in different accidents in Erie County, New York. Four people died at different places in Missouri and Kansas.
