After the incident, the accused has been arrested by the police.
According to a report by the website Law and Crime, the man first held the girl hostage, then tried to rape her. When the girl opposed the accused, he was forced to flee. The incident took place when the girl had come to the park to meet her boyfriend. Then a man with a gun surrounded him. The accused was identified as Donovan Tyler Adkins. The accused first committed an obscene act with the girl, seeing which the girl got scared. But later the girl showed courage and fought the accused.
When Adkins was sexually assaulting the girl at gunpoint, the girl told Adkins ‘I have to shoot you before I can rape you’. After this there was a scuffle between the girl and Adkins. During this the girl started crying loudly. Due to which Adkins ran away in panic. The police had received information in this matter on 10 February. After which the police immediately swung into action.
The girl told the police about the whole incident. Later, the police arrested Adkins. A case has been registered against the accused in half a dozen other cases including hooliganism, attempt to rape. Police said about the incident that Adkins took the victim into the woods at gunpoint and tried to rape her. He took off his clothes and started threatening by showing the gun. But after hearing the girl’s cry, her boyfriend reached the spot. After this, he ran away from there in fear.
