Washington: Google today remembered American stunt artist Kitty O’Neill and wished her on her 77th birthday with a doodle. Kitty has been crowned the ‘world’s fastest woman’. Kitty was deaf since childhood. He loved high-speed sports, such as water skiing and motorcycle racing. She was a true action-lover who was not afraid of heights. Falling from heights and jumping from helicopters were part of his stunts. A movie has also been made on O’Neill’s life, titled ‘Silent Victory: The Kitty O’Neill’.

Who Was Kitty O’Neill?
Kitty’s Born in 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA to an American mother and Irish father. She had to face a major setback in life when she had to face several diseases within a few months in the world, due to which she became deaf. However, Neil never let this deter him. Google said that he mastered various means of communication to overcome his handicap and actually saw his deafness as an asset. Google said that driving was his first love but hit a roadblock when he injured his wrist. Due to which his driving career faltered. But Neil was determined to make her dream of becoming a professional athlete a reality.

Crowned ‘Fastest Woman’
In the 70s he made his way to the big screen as a stunt double for films and TV series including The Bionic Woman (1976), Wonder Woman (1977–1979), and The Blues Brothers (1980). She was the first woman to join Stunts Unlimited, an organization of Hollywood’s top stunt performers. In 1976, Neel was crowned the ‘Fastest Woman’ for breaking all existing records for driving a car faster than a rocket. At a speed of 512.76 mph, he surpassed the previous record by almost 200 mph. She bid adieu to the world in 2018. Google remembered her journey and said ‘Thank you, Kitty, for inspiring us all to run towards our dreams!
