US School Shooting: Firing in America’s Tennessee school, 6 people including 3 children killed, attackers also killed

Washington. There has been a tremendous shooting at a private school in Nashville, Tennessee, US. There is news of the death of 7 people including three children in this incident. Some people were also injured in the firing. Police said the attackers had at least two assault rifles and a handgun. The police have said that a shooter has also been killed in this. Around 200 students from nursery to sixth grade were present in the school during the firing.

3 children, 3 adults and 1 suspect have been killed in the shooting at the Christian school. At the same time, John Houser, spokesman for Vanderbilt’s Monroe Carell Junior Children’s Hospital, said that three children were declared dead after reaching the hospital. The name of the school which was the victim of the attack is being told as Vacha School. Heavy police force has been deployed at the spot.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a tweet that the suspected attacker is dead. However, it is not clear what is the cause of his death. The police have also not told whether the attacker died of police bullet or he committed suicide.

The Nashville Fire Department confirmed “multiple injuries” with media including NBC and The New York Times, while the hospital confirmed the deaths of three children. According to the school’s website, Covenant School was founded by Covenant Presbyterian Church in 2001. About 200 students study in it. The school has classes from Preschool to Class 6. An active shooter program was also organized here in 2022 in view of the ever-increasing incidents of shootings in American schools.
