During a court appearance, prosecutors said that Donald Trump misrepresented three cases of hush money in business records before the election. Prosecutors also said Trump posted a series of threatening posts on social media, including threats of “death and destruction” if he was indicted.

Attorney Alvin Bragg said, “Donald J. Trump repeatedly falsified his business records during the 2016 presidential election to hide criminal conduct containing damaging information from the voting public.’
