The Department of Justice alleged that information technology (IT)ITfield company Infosoft Solutions Inc. (Infosoft Solution Inc) has violated the Immigration and Citizenship Act (INA) by giving 6 discriminatory advertisements for the job.

In these advertisements, applications were allegedly sought only from non-US citizens and in one advertisement only people from India were asked to apply.

Clark said the Civil Rights Division will not tolerate discrimination based on national origin or citizenship status and is committed to eliminating these illegal discriminatory barriers.

As part of the fine, Infosoft will pay $25,500 to the US administration. Not only this, it is also mandatory for the company to train its employers on the requirements related to INA, to make appropriate changes in employment policies and to meet departmental monitoring and reporting requirements.
