Washington. Before the state visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) to America, a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the migrants. The Indian-American expatriate community in Washington took out a Unity March on Sunday to warmly welcome PM Modi. In a video, Indian-Americans can be heard raising slogans of ‘Modi Modi’, ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Vande America’. The people involved in this march were also seen dancing to the tune of the song ‘Har Har Modi’. NRIs organized marches in 20 major cities across America ahead of PM Modi’s visit.

Ramesh Anam Reddy, a member of the overseas Indian community who participated in the unity march, said that ‘we are all Indian expatriates living here in Washington DC, Maryland and surrounding cities. We all have gathered here to celebrate ‘Unity Day’ and for the upcoming visit of PM Modi on the invitation of US President Joe Biden. This is a great event for all of us and a great moment for all of us. He said that ‘we wanted to celebrate it and wanted to make sure. Everyone knows how the relations between India and America are growing and how they are helpful.
