New York. Tesla Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk said on Tuesday that the electric car maker wants to invest in India ‘as soon as possible’. Musk said this after meeting PM Modi who reached America on a three-day state visit. A source had earlier told Reuters that Musk would brief PM Modi about plans to set up a manufacturing hub in India.
Asked by reporters about Tesla’s plans to invest in India, Musk said, “I am sure Tesla will be in India and it will be as soon as possible.” He further said, ‘I would like to thank the Prime Minister for his support and hope that we will be able to make some announcement in the near future.’
