washington, Two US lawmakers have put forward a proposal to the Biden administration to get Russia out of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). According to a report by Andolu News Agency, two representatives have started pressuring the Biden government to limit, suspend or expel Russia from the UN body. The report said two US lawmakers introduced a resolution on Wednesday to expel Russia from the UN Security Council, saying Russia’s presence “violates the purposes and principles of the United Nations”.
The resolution, introduced by Representatives Steve Cohen of Tennessee and Joe Wilson of South Carolina, found Russia to have “repeatedly, willfully and flagrantly violated” the purposes and principles of the United Nations. It urges President Joe Biden, together with US allies and partners, to take “all appropriate steps” to “limit, suspend or terminate” Russia’s rights and privileges currently on the UN Security Council. It also calls for the suspension of Russia from other organizations and specialized agencies of the United Nations.
Russia created havoc in Ukraine

According to a report by Russia’s news agency Tass, Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday that during a special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian army destroyed seven command posts of the Ukrainian army. Konashenkov said that operational-tactical aircraft, missile and artillery units attacked seven command posts located in the areas of the settlements of Kislovka, Krakhmalnoye, Berestovoye and Monachinovka in the Kharkov region.
