Digital Desk, Washington. The US and Germany will send armored fighting vehicles to Ukraine to bolster Kyiv in its ongoing war with Russia. The White House has announced this. The announcement was made in a statement about a telephone conversation between US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Thursday, Xinhua news agency reported.
During the call, Biden expressed his intention to supply Ukraine with Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles, tracked armored combat vehicles that are used to transport troops to the battlefield.
Scholz, for his part, said that Germany is ready to provide Ukraine with Marder infantry fighting vehicles. The US and Germany will train Ukrainian forces on how to operate the vehicles being delivered to Ukraine.
Additionally, Berlin will join Washington in providing Kyiv with another Patriot surface-to-air missile battery to bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
