Washington. The White House has said that President Joe Biden does not know what is in the classified documents found in the garage of his private residence and private office and has taken the incident ‘very seriously’. Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed Robert Hurr as special officer to investigate classified documents found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, DC and the President’s private residence in Wilmington, Delaware.

“It is important for the American people to know that the president has said that he takes classified documents and information very seriously,” White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said at her daily news conference on Thursday. He said that the President will not shy away from saying anything about this and he himself is surprised about the incident.

The confidential documents that Biden’s aides have found are probably from 2009 to 2016 during his Vice Presidentship. The White House press secretary said, ‘He (the President) does not know what is in the documents. These documents were sent to the archives of the Department of Justice immediately after they were received here. Biden’s receipt of these confidential documents, believed to be from the time of the Obama administration, has created a political storm in the country and is being compared to Biden’s predecessor Donald Trump.

Republican MPs made this demand from Biden
Dick Durbin, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said there is a difference between the two incidents. He said that while former President Trump repeatedly tried to obstruct efforts to recover hundreds of classified documents, President Biden’s team immediately handed over the records to the National Archives. Meanwhile, some Republican lawmakers on Thursday demanded President Biden to release the names of all those who visited his home in Delaware.
