In view of this rapidly decreasing temperature, warnings have been issued for people in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut and Maine in New England including New York and they have been advised to stay indoors. Almost 40 years of cold record has been broken in Maine.
