Big claim of defense officials, Chinese ‘spy’ balloon entered US airspace 3 times during Donald Trump’s rule

Washington. Defense officials say that Chinese spy balloons entered US airspace three times during Donald Trump’s presidency. This announcement was made after US fighter jets destroyed a suspected spy balloon belonging to China over the Atlantic on Saturday. A mission has been launched to recover the equipment present in the wreckage of the balloon.

In a statement, the Defense Department said, “Chinese balloons crossed the continental United States at least three times during the prior administration.” Responding to his Truth Social on Sunday morning, Trump fumed over the statement that ‘the Chinese balloon situation is a disgrace, just like the Afghanistan horror show, and everything else is grossly incompetent surrounding the Biden administration’.

Already strained US-China relations have suffered another blow due to the ‘spy’ balloon. After the matter came to light, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken postponed his visit to Beijing. This decision of America came at a time when Blinken was about to leave for Beijing from Washington a few hours later. However, China claims that the balloon was a meteorological research satellite, which lost its course. America has called it a surveillance satellite.
