The US has termed the ban as an inconsistent action.

Washington. America has come under tension due to an act of China. Along with this, America has also expressed serious concern over this act of China. In fact, China has banned the sale of Micron Technology chips in domestic industries. After this, the tu-tu me-me started again between the two forces. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller expressed concern about this on Monday and said that China has restricted the sale of Micron chips in some domestic industries.

According to the news agency ANI, Miller said, ‘We have very serious concerns that China has restricted the sale of Micron chips in some domestic industries.’ As the power struggle between the US and China over technology continues, China’s Cyberspace Administration (CAC) announced on Sunday that a US chip firm had failed a cyber security assessment, hence the ban.

Calling the ban an ‘inconsistent action’, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said during a regular press briefing that ‘the Department of Commerce is engaging directly with the PRC to clarify our view.’ “We are deeply concerned that the PRC has restricted the sale of Micron chips to domestic industries,” he said. The Department of Commerce is engaging directly with the PRC to clarify our view and perhaps this action appears inconsistent with the PRC’s claims that it is open to trade and committed to a transparent regulatory framework.’

The Chinese regulator, CAC, said in a statement, ‘The review found that Micron’s products have relatively serious cyber security risks, which pose significant security risks to China’s critical information infrastructure supply chain and will affect national security. ‘ The Chinese regulator’s decision came seven weeks after it launched an investigation into Micron’s equipment for cyber security risks. Micron is one of the largest manufacturers of memory chips in the US. More than 10 percent of their income comes from mainland China.
