PM Modi enjoyed music with Joe Biden, know what the Prime Minister will get as a gift

Washington. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Washington on Wednesday in the second leg of his first state visit to America. During this, he will hold bilateral talks with US President Joe Biden and address a joint session of the US Congress (Parliament). Apart from participating in various programs, PM Modi is also going to receive many special gifts from Biden here. As an official gift, US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will present a handmade, antique American book galley from the early 20th century to PM Modi.

In addition, President Joe Biden will also gift PM Modi a vintage American camera, along with an archival replica print of George Eastman’s first Kodak camera patent and a hardcover book on American wildlife photography. The White House told that a signed, first edition copy of ‘Collected Poems of Robert Frost’ will be gifted to PM Modi on behalf of Jill Biden.

Apart from all this, on Wednesday, US President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden and PM Modi enjoyed the musical atmosphere, which was organized to honor Indian territories. The music is performed by young dancers from DMV-based Indian dance studio ‘Studio Dhoom’, who help connect the new generation to the vibrant culture of Indian dance.

PM Modi arrived here from New York, where he led a historic event at the United Nations Headquarters earlier in the day to mark the ninth International Day of Yoga, which was attended by UN officials, diplomats and prominent personalities. PM Modi tweeted, ‘I have reached Washington DC. The warmth of the Indian community and the blessings of Lord Indra made the arrival even more special.

The Prime Minister, who is visiting the US at the invitation of Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, will attend a state banquet on Thursday where many other dignitaries will be present. PM Modi arrived at Joint Base Andrews in Washington, DC, where he was given a ‘guard of honour’ amid incessant rain. The prime minister, wearing a raincoat, stood for the national anthems of both the countries.
