Alaska. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 7.4 magnitude earthquake has occurred in the Alaska Peninsula region. After this strong earthquake, the US Tsunami Warning System issued a tsunami warning. USGS said that the earthquake was 9.3 km. (5.78 miles) depth.

This severe earthquake has occurred when two weeks ago there was a mild earthquake in Anchorage, Alaska. The quake was recorded about 12 miles south of the city and about two miles south of Eagle River, according to the USGS. However, there was no information about any injury or damage then. Data provided by the USGS showed that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 17.5 miles.
