Carroll’s attorney filed legal documents electronically amid the temporary removal of the deadline for filing a sexual assault lawsuit under the ‘Adult Survivors Act’. Carroll has requested compensation for pain and suffering, mental damage, loss of dignity and loss of reputation, and punishment for the accused.

Carroll, who wrote a longtime column for Elle magazine, first alleged in a book published in 2019 that Trump raped her in the dressing room of a luxury department store in Manhattan in late 1995 or early 1996. did. Trump responded to these allegations by saying that this could never happen because Carroll was “not my ‘type’.” After this, Carroll also filed a defamation case against Trump.

Earlier, under the law, Carroll was barred from filing a rape lawsuit against Trump because of the passage of several years since the alleged incident. Recently, former US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday to join the race for the White House for the third time. He made this announcement amid the poor performance of the Republican Party in the midterm elections and the legal investigation against him in other cases, including the Mar-a-Lago club.
